Product customisation is key. Tortilla’s product proposition has been developed to provide the same customer experience regardless of where customers choose to order. Across all channels, customers can build their own meal with customisable elements of each dish to suit tastes or dietary requirements.

To deliver its high-quality product proposition, all menu items are made in Tortilla’s central kitchens, with all toppings such as guacamole, pico de gallo and salsa prepared fresh in each restaurant daily by team members.

Food provenance and quality is a critical component of the brand’s success and the business’s infrastructure and expertise supports this. The Group only uses grass-fed British Isle brisket in its slow-cooked Barbacoa, as well as higher-welfare chicken and pork, and is a signatory of the Better Chicken Commitment. Meanwhile all vegetarian and vegan dishes are Vegan & Vegetarian Society approved.

In 2020, Tortilla launched its first DIY meal kits, offering customers the opportunity to build their own quesadilla and nacho meals at home.

In 2022, Tortilla announced the strategic acquisition of Chilango Limited, strengthening the Group’s position as the UK’s leading fast-casual Mexican brand.
